DTC 1367: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Ignition "0" Circuit Low: Testing

  1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Start engine. Attempt to communicate with IPC. If scan tool communicates with IPC, turn ignition switch to OFF position, then go to DIAGNOSTIC AIDS . If scan tool does not communicate with IPC, turn ignition switch to OFF position, then go to next step.
  2. Remove IPC. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect IPC connector. Check for high resistance, open or short to ground in Ignition "0" circuit (Pink wire) between IPC and fuse block. Repair circuit as necessary. After repair, go to step  5. If no problems are found, go to next step.
  3. Check for poor connection between IPC and IPC connector. Repair connection as necessary. After repair, go to step  5. If no problems are found, go to next step.
  4. Replace instrument cluster, then go to next step. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  5. Using scan tool, clear Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). Start engine. Using scan tool, retrieve DTCs. If DTC 1367 resets, return to step  2. If DTC 1367 does not reset, system is okay.
