Valve Seat

Check valve seat width and runout. Grind valve seat if not within specification. See CYLINDER HEAD SPECIFICATIONS  table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS. Cylinder head must be replaced if valve seat cannot be corrected.

CAUTION: Ensure valve spring installed height and valve tip height is correct after grinding valve seats. See VALVE SPRINGS  and VALVES  .
