Installation (New Fittings)

- See SERVICE PRECAUTIONS under FUEL LINES & FITTINGS before servicing. Install fuel line with nut and ferrules into fitting. See Fig 1. Ensure fuel line is fully seated in fitting.
- Tighten nut finger tight. Place scribe mark at 6 o'clock position on nut. See Fig 2. Place wrench on fitting. Tighten nut 1 1/4 turn. Ensure scribe mark is now at 9 o'clock position. See Fig 2.
- Check fitting using go/no-go gauge. See Fig 3. Fitting is properly tightened if go/no-go gauge does not fit between nut and fitting.CAUTION: DO NOT install go/no-go gauge on fitting while tightening the nut.
- If go/no-go gauge fits between fitting and nut after tightening nut 1 1/4 turns, slowly continue to tighten nut in small increments until go/no-go gauge no longer fits. DO NOT overtighten nut.
- Perform fuel line and fitting leak test after servicing fuel line and fitting. See FUEL LINE & FITTING LEAK TEST .
