Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal: Installation

  1. Using Oil Seal Installer (MD998718), install oil seal into crankshaft rear oil seal retainer. Apply engine oil to lip of oil seal.
  2. Apply silicone sealant on crankshaft rear oil seal retainer-to-cylinder block surface. Install crankshaft rear oil seal retainer on cylinder block. Install and tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure.
