Reassembly & Installation

  1. To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure. Ensure components are installed in original location. Tighten the screws for pump cover and plug for relief plunger to specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. If crankshaft front seal was removed from oil pump case, use Seal Installer (MB998306) to install NEW seal. Lubricate lip of seal with oil before installing oil pump.
  3. To install, reverse the removal procedure using NEW gasket. Ensure the proper length bolts are installed in the correct locations. Refer to Fig. Fig 1. Tighten the bolts to specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
