Intake & Exhaust Manifolds: Removal

- Release fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain cooling system. Remove air cleaner. Disconnect necessary wiring, fuel lines and linkage at throttle body. If necessary, remove throttle body.
- Remove power steering pump and set aside. Remove brake booster vacuum hose from intake manifold, disconnect coolant hoses from coolant crossover.
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove EGR tube. Disconnect exhaust pipe from exhaust manifold. Remove intake manifold bolts. Lower vehicle. Remove exhaust manifold nuts. Remove intake and exhaust manifolds.
