Reassembly & Installation

  1. To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure. Install outer rotor in pump housing, with large chamfered edge toward pump housing.
  2. To install, apply Loctite (515) to oil pump housing-to-cylinder block surface. Align slot in oil pump drive gear. Install oil pump. Rotate pump back and forth to ensure proper seating while tightening bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Install new "O" ring on pick-up tube. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure.
