Test NTC-1A - No DTC Test Menu

  1. Check all related Tech Service Bulletins (TSBs) and perform corrective action as necessary. To perform a no DTC complete test on monitored and non-monitored circuits, perform TEST NTC-2A through TEST NTC-16A in sequence until driveability problem is found. See NO DTC MENU table below.

    CHECKING TP SENSOR CALIBRATION NTC-6A 
    CHECKING MAP SENSOR CALIBRATION NTC-7A 
    CHECKING OXYGEN SENSOR SWITCHING NTC-8A 
    CHECKING OXYGEN SENSOR HEATER NTC-9A 
    CHECKING IDLE AIR CONTROL MOTOR NTC-10A 
    CHECKING PARK/NEUTRAL SWITCH NTC-12A 
    CHECKING PCM GROUNDS & POWER CIRCUIT NTC-13A 
    CHECKING ENGINE VACUUM NTC-15A 
    PERFORMING NO DTC MECHANICAL TEST NTC-16A 
  2. A no DTC quick individual test can be performed on any suspected individual no DTC menu item that may be causing vehicle's driveability problem. See NO DTC MENU  table. If driveability problem has not been corrected after performing individual test, return to NO DTC MENU table to perform another individual test or perform a no DTC complete test to test all items in NO DTC MENU table.
  3. A no DTC quick symptom test can be performed if driveability problem characteristic actually occurs while vehicle is being tested. To reduce diagnostic time, perform TEST TC-1A before attempting to diagnose a symptom. Select symptom that most accurately describes vehicle's driveability problem, then perform TEST that pertains to that symptom. See DRIVEABILITY SYMPTOMS & TESTS table below.
