Under Vehicle Inspection

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to: JACKING AND LIFTING
  2. Place the selector lever in D.
  3. Inspect the transmission case for evidence of leaks.
  4. Inspect the transmission fluid cooler lines for proper routing, pinches, or kinks.
  5. Inspect the transmission fluid cooler mounting and check for any missing air deflectors.
  6. Verify the selector lever cable adjustment. (If equipped) REFER to: SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTMENT - 3.5L DURATEC (202KW 275PS) , SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTMENT - 3.5L ECOBOOST (235KW 320PS) .
