Selector Lever Cable - 3.5L EcoBoost (235kW 320PS): Installation

All vehicles
- With the aid of an assistant, route the selector lever cable through the passenger compartment and install.
- Connect the selector lever cable clip and the selector lever cable end to the selector lever assembly.
- Install the selector lever cable clip bolt.
Torque: 7 Nm
- Set the selector lever to the Drive (D) position.
- Connect the selector lever cable to the bracket.

- Rotate the manual control lever clockwise until it stops.
- Rotate the manual control lever counterclockwise 3 detents.
- Connect the selector lever cable to the manual control lever.

NOTE: After locking the adjuster, pull back on the adjuster to make sure it is securely installed.
Slide the lock tab down into place.
- Install the heat shield.
Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) vehicles
- Inspect the transmission fluid cooler O-ring seals and install new O-ring seals if necessary. Lubricate the O-ring seals.
Material: Automatic Transmission Fluid (WSS-M2C949-A,)
- Position back the transmission fluid cooler and install the bolts and the nut.
Torque: Nut: 11 Nm Bolts: 11 Nm
- Install the front subframe. Refer to: INSTALLATION
All vehicles

NOTE: Both sides.
Install the trim panel and the screws.

NOTE: Both sides.
Install the lower trim panel screw covers.
- Connect the electrical connectors and install the instrument panel console.
- Install the cup holder.
- Install the trim panel.
- Install the selector lever bezel.
- Install the trim panel.
- Press the stop tabs inward and close the glove compartment.
- Release the clips and remove the lower steering column opening trim panel.
Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) vehicles
- Check the transmission fluid level and adjust as necessary. Refer to: Transmission Fluid Level Check .
