Removal And Installation: Muffler: Removal

  1. Position vehicle on a hoist. Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING .
  2. Remove the tailpipe. Refer to: Tailpipe .
  3. Remove the bolts.

    Torque: 40 Nm

  4. Detach the exhaust isolators and remove the muffler assembly.

    Isolator hanger bracket 

    NOTE: The below step is only necessary, if you are replacing the isolator hanger bracket.
    • Detach the isolator.

    • Remove the bolts and the isolator hanger bracket.

      Torque: 30 Nm

    1. Detach the isolators.
    2. Remove the bolts and the isolator hanger bracket.

      Torque: 20 Nm
