Dual Catalytic Converter Y-Pipe - AWD: Installation

- Clean all exhaust connections before reassembly.

NOTE: This step is only required if you are replacing with new components.
- Install the catalytic converter brace bracket.
- Apply anti-seize to thread of sensor, Using special tool install the HO2S and the catalyst monitor sensor. Use Special Service Tool: 303-476 (T94P-9472-A) Socket, Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor.
Material: Anti-Seize Lubricant
Torque: 48 Nm

NOTE: This step is only required if you are replacing the studs.
Install the LH studs.
Torque: 25 Nm

NOTE: This step is only required if you are replacing the studs.
Install the RH studs.
Torque: 25 Nm

NOTE: This step require another technician aid.
Position the dual catalytic converter / Y-pipe assembly in the vehicle and install the brace bracket bolts.
Torque: 40 Nm

NOTE: The bolts are only finger tight at this step.
Attach the isolator and install the flange bolts.

NOTE: Make sure that new nuts are installed.
Evenly tighten the new LH catalytic converter flange nuts.
Torque: 40 Nm

NOTE: Make sure that new nuts are installed.
Evenly tighten the new RH catalytic converter flange nuts.
Torque: 40 Nm
- Install the bolts.
Torque: 40 Nm
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Check the exhaust system for leaks.
