Axle Tube Bearing: Installation

- Clean the axle shaft bearing mating surface.
- Install the axle shaft bearing.

NOTE: Take extra care not to damage the component.NOTE: Make sure that a new snap ring is installed.
Install the axle shaft snap ring.
- Install the axle shaft in to the axle tube.

NOTE: Take extra care not to damage the component.NOTE: Make sure that a new snap ring is installed.
Install the snap ring.Use the General Equipment: ViseUse the General Equipment: Snap Ring Pliers
- Clean and inspect the front axle tube and metal deflector mating surface.

NOTE: Make sure that new component is installed.
Install the new front axle tube metal deflector.
- Clean and inspect the axle tube and axle shaft mating surface.
- Clean and inspect the front axle tube mating surface.
- Install the axle tube and install the new bolts.
Torque: 30 Nm

NOTE: Make sure that the new bolts are installed.
Install the new front axle tube bolts.
Torque: 165 Nm
- Connect the transfer case coolant hoses and attach the clamps.Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
- Install the front LH halfshafts. Refer to: Front Halfshaft LH .
- Fill the front differential. Refer to: Differential Draining and Filling .
- Install the wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
