Transfer Case Rear Seal: Installation

Install the special tool to the seal.Use Special Service Tool: 205-1018 Installation Tube., 205-1067 Installer, Output Shaft AWD.

Using the special tool, install a new transfer case rear seal.Use Special Service Tool: 205-1018 Installation Tube., 205-1067 Installer, Output Shaft AWD.

Install the new output shaft flange nut.Use Special Service Tool: 205-126 (T78P-4851-A) Holding Fixture, Drive Pinion Flange.
Torque: 185 Nm

NOTE: Make sure new driveshaft CV joint-to-pinion flange cup restraining straps and bolts are used.
- Align the rear driveshaft CV joint-to-pinion flange cup
- Install the rear driveshaft CV joint-to-pinion flange cup retaining straps and bolts.
  Torque: 70 Nm

Refill the transfer case. Refer to: Transfer Case Draining and Filling .
