Pinpoint Test A: C1034:00, C1034:44, C1034:48 Or C1034:49

  1. Refer to VEHICLE DYNAMIC SYSTEMS for schematic and connector information.

    Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    REFER to: Parking Brake .

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
    ABS C1034:49 Park Brake: Internal Electronic Failure This DTC sets when an internal ABS module failure is detected.
    ABS C1034:00 Park Brake: No Sub Type Information This DTC sets when an internal ABS module failure is detected.
    ABS C1034:44 Park Brake: Data Memory Failure This DTC sets when an internal ABS module failure is detected.
    ABS C1034:48 Park Brake: Supervision Software Failure This DTC sets when an internal ABS module failure is detected.

    Possible Sources 

    • ABS module.

  2. A1 CHECK FOR OTHER ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM) MODULE DTC (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE) S

    NOTE: Vehicles with Dual Rear Wheels may have EPB wiring present on vehicle. The EPB system is NOT equipped on these vehicles, but the ABS module may set DTC s for the wiring.

    • Ignition ON.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the ABS module self-test.

    Are there additional DTC s set in the ABS module? 

    Yes  For all other ABS module DTC s, GO to the appropriate DTC Chart: ABS Module.
    No  GO to  A2
  3. A2 USING THE DIAGNOSTIC SCAN TOOL

    • Clear DTC.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the ABS module self-test.

    Did Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) C1034:00, C1034:44 C1034:48 or C1034:49 set in the ABS module again? 

    Yes  Replace the ABS module. REFER to: Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The problem may have been caused by an unexpected powerdown or invalid data.
