Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes: Installation

Install the transmission fluid cooler tube clamps.

1. Lubricate the transmission fluid cooler tube band seal and backing ring with clean transmission fluid.
  Material
  
  : Motorcraft® MERCON® ULV Automatic Transmission Fluid / XT-12-QULV (WSS-M2C949-A,) (MERCON® ULV)
2. Position the transmission fluid cooler tube and install the bolt.
  Torque
  
  : 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

Install the wiring harness bracket and install the nut.
Torque

: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

Left-hand side only. Install the LH wheel. Refer to: WHEELS AND TIRES .
1. Lubricate the transmission fluid cooler tube band seals and backing rings with clean transmission fluid.

2. Position the transmission fluid cooler tube and install the bolts.
  Torque
  
  : 97 lb.in (11 Nm)

Install the transmission fluid cooler tube bracket. and the bolt

: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

Install the bracket and nut. Attach the wiring harness retainers.

Install the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .
Left-hand side only. Install the LH headlamp assembly. Refer to: Headlamp Assembly .
Check the transmission fluid level. Refer to: Transmission Fluid Level Check .
