Fuel Rail: Removal

- Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to: Fuel System Pressure Release .
- Disconnect the battery. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .

- Disconnect the wiring harness retainers from the fuel rail, disconnect the fuel injector electrical connectors and remove the fuel rail insulator.
- Disconnect the spring lock coupling. Refer to: Spring Lock Couplings .
- Remove the nut and position the electrical connector aside.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Remove the fuel rail retaining bolts and remove the fuel rail.
Torque: 17 lb.ft (23 Nm)
- Remove the fuel injectors from the fuel rail.
- Remove and discard the fuel injector O-ring seals and the fuel injector clips.
