Fuel Tank Filler Pipe - Vehicles With: Midship Fuel Tank: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
- Drain the fuel tank until the fuel level is at or below half of a tank. Refer to: Fuel Tank Draining .

Remove the 3 screws from the filler pipe. Position the fuel filler pipe out of the fuel filler opening or bracket.
Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)

Using a suitable lifting and lowering tool, support the fuel tank. Remove the fuel tank strap bolts and partially lower the fuel tank for access.
Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

Loosen the hose clamps and disconnect the fuel tank filler pipe and vent hose from the fuel tank. Remove the fuel tank filler pipe.
Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
