Fuel Lines - Vehicles With: Aft of Axle Fuel Tank: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to: Fuel System Pressure Release .
- Drain the aft fuel tank. Refer to: Fuel Tank Draining .
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
- Disconnect the quick release coupling from the fuel cooler. Detach the line from the retainers. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling

- Disconnect the quick release coupling. Detach the lines from the retainers. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling

- Detach the lines from the retainers.
- Detach the lines from the retainers.
- If necessary, remove the reductant tank and brackets. Refer to: Reductant Tank .
- Detach the lines from the retainers. Remove the retainer from the frame rail.

Using a suitable lifting and lowering tool, support the fuel tank. Remove the fuel tank strap bolts and partially lower the fuel tank for access.
Torque: 66 lb.ft (90 Nm)
- Disconnect the quick release couplings. Detach the line retainer and remove the fuel line. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
