Fuel Lines - Vehicles With: Aft of Axle Fuel Tank: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to: Fuel System Pressure Release .
- Drain the aft fuel tank. Refer to: Fuel Tank Draining .
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
- Disconnect the quick release couplings. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling

- Detach the retainers from the frame rail.
- Detach the retainers from the frame rail.
- Disconnect the quick release coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling
.
- Remove the evaporative emission canister. Refer to: Evaporative Emission Canister - Vehicles With: Midship Fuel Tank (303-13A Evaporative Emissions - 6.2L V8, Removal and Installation).
- Detach the retainers from the frame rail.

Using a suitable lifting and lowering tool, support the fuel tank. Remove the fuel tank strap bolts and partially lower the fuel tank for access.
Torque: 66 lb.ft (90 Nm)
- Disconnect the quick release couplings. Remove the fuel line. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
