DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition SOBDMC P0A50:92 Generator Position Sensor Circuit Overspeed: Performance Or Incorrect Operation This DTC sets when the generator speed is above the calibrated threshold for a period of time. Possible Sources
- Transmission slips
- Electric Motor
- Y1 READ THE PCM (POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, retrieve the PCMDTCs.
Are any DTCs present?
Yes DIAGNOSE all PCMDTCs. REFER to: Electric Powertrain Control . No GO to Y2 - Y2 CHECK FOR INVERTER SYSTEM CONTROLLER (ISC) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Ignition ON.
- Clear the Inverter System Controller (ISC) DTCs.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, run the Inverter System Controller (ISC) self-test.
Is DTC P0A50 the only DTC present?
Yes GO to Y3 No DIAGNOSE all other Inverter System Controller (ISC) DTCs. REFER to the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Chart . - Y3 TEST DRIVE THE VEHICLE
- Test drive the vehicle. REFER to: Road Testing Vehicle .
Was the concern duplicated?
Yes DIAGNOSE the transmission concern. REFER to: Diagnosis By Symptom . No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
