Engine Mount LH: Installation
- Clean the LH engine mount-to-frame mating surfaces of any dirt or foreign material prior to installation.

NOTE: Only use hand tools when tightening the engine mount nuts or damage to the engine mount may occur.NOTE: Clean the engine mount bracket-to-cylinder block surfaces of any dirt or foreign material prior to installation.
If removed, install the LH engine support insulator bracket and the new bolts.
Torque
Stage 1: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
Stage 2: 60 °
- Install the LH engine support insulator.

- Using the engine support bar, lower the engine.
- Remove Special Service Tool: 303-F070 Support Bar, Engine.
- Remove Special Service Tool: 303-639 Support Bracket, Engine.

NOTE: Do not tighten the fasteners at this time.
Install the new LH mount through bolt.

NOTE: Do not tighten the fasteners at this time.
Install the new RH mount through bolt.

NOTE: Only use hand tools when tightening the engine mount bolts or damage to the engine mount may occur.
Install the new LH engine support insulator bracket nuts.
Torque: 148 lb.ft (200 Nm)

NOTE: Only use hand tools when tightening the engine mount nuts or damage to the engine mount may occur.
Tighten the LH engine mount through bolt.
Torque: 258 lb.ft (350 Nm)

NOTE: Only use hand tools when tightening the engine mount nuts or damage to the engine mount may occur.
Tighten the RH engine mount through bolt.
Torque: 258 lb.ft (350 Nm)

NOTE: The transmission support insulator-to-crossmember nuts must be discarded and new nuts installed, or damage to the vehicle or transmission support insulator may occur.
Remove and discard the transmission support insulator nuts.

NOTE: The transmission support insulator studs may come out of the insulator while removing the nuts.
If required, tighten transmission support insulator studs.
Torque: 66 lb.ft (90 Nm)
- If the transmission support insulator studs can not be tightened, the transmission support insulator must be replaced. Refer to: Transmission Support Insulator .
- Install new transmission support insulator nuts.
Torque: 85 lb.ft (115 Nm)

- Install the new LH exhaust pipe-to-manifold nuts.
Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
- Install the new RH exhaust pipe-to-manifold nuts.
Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
- Position the A/C compressor and install the bolts.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- Connect the CKP sensor and A/C compressor electrical connectors.
- Attach the wiring harness retainers.
- Position the engine oil cooler and install the retainer.
Torque: 43 lb.ft (58 Nm)

NOTE: Lubricate the oil filter gasket with clean engine oil.
Install a new engine oil filter.
Torque:
Stage 1: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
Stage 2: 180 °

- Remove the drain plug and drain the engine oil. Use the General Equipment: Oil Drain Equipment
- Install the drain plug.
Torque: 17 lb.ft (23 Nm)

NOTE: Lubricate the O-ring seals with clean engine coolant prior to installation.
Install new O-ring seals.
- Install the coolant tube and the bolt.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Connect the heater hose.
- Install the coolant tube and the bolt.
- Install the following items:
- Air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .
- Intake manifold. Refer to: Intake Manifold .
- Generator. Refer to: Generator - 6.8L Triton-30V - V10 .
- Cooling fan shroud. Refer to: Cooling Fan Shroud .
- Fill the engine with clean engine oil. Refer to: Specifications .
Material: Motorcraft ® SAE 5W-30 Synthetic Blend Motor Oil / XO-5W30-QSP (WSS-M2C946-A)
- Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
- Fill and bleed the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
