Transmission Fluid Cooler - 3.0L Power Stroke Diesel: Installation

  1. Install the transmission fluid cooler and the bolts.

    Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

  2. Connect the harness retainers.

  3. Connect the transmission fluid cooler coolant hoses to the transmission fluid cooler and remove the hose clamps.

  4. Connect the transmission fluid cooler tubes to the transmission fluid cooler.

  5. Install the transmission fluid tube secondary latches.

  6. Check and adjust the engine coolant level as necessary. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
  7. Check and adjust the transmission fluid level as necessary. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL CHECK
  8. If equipped, install the shield, the retainer and the bolts.

    Torque: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
