Removal And Installation: Battery: Removal

Battery - Primary
- Disconnect the battery/batteries. REFER to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
- Remove the nuts, position the battery cable and remove the battery hold-down bracket.
Torque: 36 lb.in (4.1 Nm)
- Remove the battery.
- If replacing the battery, remove the battery insulator.
Battery - Secondary
- Disconnect the batteries. REFER to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .NOTE: 6.7L diesel vehicle shown in illustration, other vehicles similar.
- Remove the nuts, position the battery cable and remove the battery hold-down bracket.
Torque:
36 lb.in (4.1 Nm)
- Remove the battery.
- If replacing the battery, remove the battery insulator.
