Pinpoint Test Am : The Stability-Traction Control Disabled Indicator (Sliding Car Off Icon) Is Never Or Always On: Notes
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
See Stability-Traction Control Disabled Indicator (Sliding Car OFF Icon). REFER to: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) - System Operation and Component Description .
See Stability-Traction Disabled Control RTT (Sliding Car OFF Icon). REFER to: Message Center - System Operation and Component Description .
If the stability-traction control disabled indicator request is missing or invalid for less than 5 seconds, the IPC defaults the stability-traction control disabled indicator or stability-traction control disabled RTT (sliding car OFF icon) to the last indication state (on or off), based upon the last message received.
If the IPC does not receive the stability-traction control disabled indicator request for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC defaults the stability-traction control disabled indicator or stability-traction control disabled RTT (sliding car OFF icon) off.
When a MyKey® programmed key is in use and the AdvanceTrac® on feature is configured always on, the traction control system cannot be disabled and the traction control indicator or traction control RTT does not turn on when the traction control disable button is pressed. The traction control indicator or traction control RTT still functions correctly to indicate a traction control system fault and a traction control active event.
