Side Curtain Airbag - Regular Cab: Removal

The following procedure prescribes critical repair steps required for correct restraint system operation during a crash. Follow all notes and steps carefully. - Lower the headliner. Refer to: Headliner - Lowering - Regular Cab .
- Depower the SRS. Refer to: Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering .
- Release the clips and remove the LH instrument panel finish panel.
- Position aside the weather strip. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

- Disconnect the side curtain airbag electrical connector.
- Remove the side curtain airbag nuts.
Torque: 93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)

- Remove the side curtain airbag bolts.
Torque: 93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)
- Separate the front tether clip.
- Remove the pin-type retainer.
- Remove the side curtain airbag bolts.
- Detach the side curtain airbag hangers.

- Detach the side curtain airbag retainers from the A-pillar bracket.
- Pull the side curtain airbag away from the A-pillar bracket.
- Feed the side curtain airbag hanger out from between the A-pillar and the A-pillar bracket.

- Detach the pin-type retainer.
- Slide the side curtain airbag rearward and out, disengaging the T-tab from the sheet metal and remove the side curtain airbag.
