Transfer Case Rear Seal - Vehicles With: Flanged Yoke: Installation

- Using the special tool, install the rear output shaft seal. Use Special Service Tool: 205-1018 Installation Tube., 308-945 Installer, Fixed Yoke Output Seal.
- Install the output flange.
- Install the output flange nut washer.
- Install the new output shaft flange nut.
Torque: 185 lb.ft (251 Nm)
Vehicles equipped with a flange style yoke
- Connect the driveshaft.
- Align the index marks and connect the driveshaft to the output shaft flange.
- Install the new driveshaft to output flange bolts.
Torque: 76 lb.ft (103 Nm)
Vehicles equipped with a U-joint strap style yoke
- Connect the driveshaft.
- Align the index marks and connect the driveshaft to the output shaft.
- Install the new driveshaft to output shaft bolts.
Torque: 46 lb.ft (63 Nm)
- Check the transfer case fluid. Refer to: Transfer Case Draining and Filling .
