Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Valve: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. Disconnect the negative and positive battery cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
2. If equipped Remove and discard the nuts and remove the strut tower cross brace.

   Torque: 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)

3. Remove the oil filling cap.

4. Remove the engine appearance cover.

5. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation tube-to PCV-valve quick connect coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

6. Rotate the PCV valve counterclockwise and remove the PCV valve. Discard the PCV valve.
