Output Shaft - 2.3L EcoBoost (231kW/314PS)/2.3L EcoBoost (257kW/350PS) - MI4: Assembly

NOTE: Lubricate all components with the recommended transmission fluid before reassembling.

Inspect the pocket bearing inner race for damage. If the race is damaged, remove the snap ring and install a new inner bearing race.

Position the 5th/6th gear synchronizer assembly on the bearing separator and a hydraulic press. Use the General Equipment: Bearing Separator Use the General Equipment: Hydraulic Press

NOTE: The 3 synchronizer ring tabs must engage into 3 synchronizer assembly slots or damage to the synchronizer assembly and synchronizer ring can occur.

Install the 6th gear synchronizer ring and cone.
- Align the 3 synchronizer ring tabs with the 3 synchronizer assembly slots.

Using the bearing separator and a hydraulic press, install the 5th/6th gear synchronizer assembly and the 6th gear. Use the General Equipment: Bearing Separator Use the General Equipment: Hydraulic Press
