Port Injection Fuel Rail LH: Removal

  1. Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to: Fuel System Pressure Release .
  2. Remove the strut tower cross brace. Refer to: Strut Tower Cross Brace - GT500 .
  3. Detach the coolant hose retainer, then move the hoses out of the way.

  4. Disconnect the quick release coupling, release the valve from its bracket, then move the valve out of the way. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

  5. Remove the nuts, then remove the hose support.

  6. Remove the fuel rail insulator.

    1. Disconnect the fuel supply tube quick release coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
    2. Disconnect the fuel rail fuel supply jumper tube spring lock coupling. Refer to: Spring Lock Couplings .

  8. Disconnect the fuel injector and the fuel rail pressure sensor electrical connectors.

  9. Remove and discard the fuel rail retaining bolts, then remove the fuel rail.

  10. Remove the fuel injector retaining clips, then remove the fuel injectors from the fuel rail.

  11. Remove and discard all of the fuel injector O-ring seals.
