Fuel System Pressure Release

Pressure release

NOTE: The fuel pump driver module assembly is located in the luggage compartment, behind the left side luggage compartment carpet.

Remove the luggage compartment left side carpet retainer, then position the carpet aside.

Disconnect the fuel pump driver module electrical connectors.

Start the engine and allow it to idle until the engine stalls.
Turn the ignition switch to the off position.
When the fuel system service is complete, reconnect the two Fuel Pump Control Module electrical connectors.

Install the left side luggage compartment carpet, then install the retainer.

Cycle the ignition key and wait 3 seconds to pressurize the fuel system. Check for leaks before starting the engine.
When service on the fuel system is complete, start the engine and check for leaks.
