Transmission Manual Park Release Shaft Seal: Removal

Remove the transmission. Refer to: Transmission
NOTE: Before installing the manual park release lever stop bolt, add a small amount of the thread locking adhesive listed below.

Remove the manual park release lever stop bolt.

Material: Motorcraft® Threadlock 262 / TA-26 (WSK-M2G351-A6)

Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

NOTE: Before installing the manual park release lever nut, add a small amount of the thread locking adhesive listed below.

Remove the manual park release lever nut and washer.

Material: Motorcraft® Threadlock 262 / TA-26 (WSK-M2G351-A6)

Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

Remove the manual park release lever.

NOTE: When installing the new manual park release shaft seal the identification numbers should face out. A 14mm deep socket and a soft face hammer can be used to install the new seal.

Remove and discard the manual park release shaft seal.
