Pinpoint Test V: Clicking/Whirring Noise From Transfer Case At Start Up

  1. Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    The transfer case learns the actuator clutch KISS point at each key on cycle. A certain amount of clicking/whirring noise may be normal. Compare to a similar vehicle.

    Possible Sources 

    • Actuator gearset and ball ramp movement
