Fuel Lines: Removal

NOTE:

- Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to: Fuel System Pressure Release
- Disconnect the battery. Refer to: Battery Cables - 2.5L Duratec - Hybrid (121kW/164PS) (BG)
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview
- Remove the high voltage battery. Refer to HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY - HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE (HEV) .

NOTE: Wrap the fuel line connector with a shop towel to absorb any residual fuel pressure during the removal of the fuel line.
Disconnect the quick connectors. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling . Refer to: Spring Lock Couplings
- Detach the retainer clip.

- Remove the retainers.
- Remove the screws and position the RH wheel arch liner aside.
Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
- Remove the RH air deflector.

- Remove the retainers.
- Remove the screws and position the LH wheel arch liner aside.
Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
- Remove the LH air deflector.
- Remove the nuts and heat shield.
Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

- Disconnect the front brake lines and detach the retainer clip.
Torque: 150 lb.in (17 Nm)
- Disconnect the front brake lines and detach the retainer clip.
- Detach the retainer clips.

NOTE: Wrap the fuel line connector with a shop towel to absorb any residual fuel pressure during the removal of the fuel line.
- Remove the quick connectors. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling
- Disconnect the rear brake lines retainers.
Torque: 150 lb.in (17 Nm)
- Detach the fuel tube retainers and remove the fuel lines.
