DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition SOBDMC P0DFA:00 Generator Phase U-V-W Current Sensor Correlation: No Sub Type Information This DTC sets when there is a current imbalance in the 3 Phase High Voltage AC cables. SOBDMC P1A0E:62 Hybrid Powertrain Control Module - Motor Disabled: Signal Compare Failure This DTC sets when the motor torque is out of range. SOBDMC P1A0E:64 Hybrid Powertrain Control Module - Motor Disabled: Signal Plausibility Failure This DTC sets when a plausibility fault with motor torque is detected. SOBDMC P1A0E:96 Hybrid Powertrain Control Module - Motor Disabled: Component Internal Failure This DTC sets when a motor phase current checksum error is detected. Possible Sources
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Electric motor assembly
- Inverter System Controller (ISC)
- AL1 CHECK THE INVERTER SYSTEM CONTROLLER (ISC) CALIBRATION LEVEL
- Verify the Inverter System Controller (ISC) is at the latest calibration level.
Is the Inverter System Controller (ISC) at the latest calibration level?
Yes GO to AL2 No UPDATE the Inverter System Controller (ISC) to the latest calibration level. - AL2 VISUAL INSPECTION OF THE HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM
- Ignition OFF.
- Depower the high voltage battery. REFER to: High Voltage System De-energizing .
- Visually inspect all the high voltage cables.
- Make sure all the high voltage connectors are correctly and securely connected.
- Examine all the high voltage cables and connectors for damaged, burned or overheated insulation and loose or broken connections.
Is a concern present?
Yes REPAIR as necessary. CLEAR the DTCs and REPEAT the self-test. No GO to AL3 - AL3 CHECK THE ELECTRIC MOTOR CIRCUITS FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect Electric Motor C1201.
- Disconnect Inverter System Controller (ISC) C1458B.
- Measure and record:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C1458B-1 C1201-3 C1458B-2 C1201-2 C1458B-3 C1201-1
Are the resistances less than 5 ohms?
Yes GO to AL4 No REPAIR the open circuit. CLEAR the DTCs and REPEAT the self-test. - AL4 CHECK THE ELECTRIC MOTOR CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TO THE EXTERNAL CABLE SHIELD
- Measure and record:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C1201-1 C1201-Pin Shield C1201-2 C1201-Pin Shield C1201-3 C1201-Pin Shield
Are the resistances less than 5 ohms?
Yes GO to AL5 No REPAIR the short circuit. CLEAR the DTCs and REPEAT the self-test. - Measure and record:
- AL5 CHECK THE ELECTRIC MOTOR CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Measure and record:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C1201-1 Ground C1201-2 Ground C1201-3 Ground
Are the resistances greater than 10K ohms?
Yes GO to AL6 No REPAIR the short circuit. CLEAR the DTCs and REPEAT the self-test. - Measure and record:
- AL6 CHECK THE ELECTRIC MOTOR CIRCUITS FOR SHORTED TOGETHER
- Measure and record:

Are the resistances greater than 10K ohms?
Yes GO to AL7 No REPAIR the short circuit. CLEAR the DTCs and REPEAT the self-test. - Measure and record:
- AL7 CHECK THE ELECTRIC MOTOR FOR CONTINUITY
- Measure and record:

Are the resistances less than 5 ohms?
Yes GO to AL8 No INSTALL a new electric motor. REFER to: Hybrid Drive Unit . CLEAR the Inverter System Controller (ISC) DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. - Measure and record:
- AL8 CHECK THE ELECTRIC MOTOR FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Measure and record:

Are the resistances greater than 10K ohms?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions. If no service articles address this concern, INSTALL a new Inverter System Controller (ISC). REFER to: Inverter System Controller [SOBDMC] . No INSTALL a new electric motor. REFER to: Hybrid Drive Unit . CLEAR the Inverter System Controller (ISC) DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. - Measure and record:
