  1. Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    REFER to: Engine - Overview .

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
    PCM P166A:00 Restraints Deployment Communication Circuit: No Sub Type Information This DTC sets when the PCM detects an open or short in the IES circuit.

    Possible Sources 

    • BCM
    • Wiring, terminals or connectors

  2. M1 DIAGNOSE THE CONCERN USING THE ENGINE CONTROLS SERVICE INFORMATION

    • Diagnose the concern using the Engine Controls service information.

    Did the diagnosis in the Engine Controls article instruct to install a new BCM? 

    Yes  Refer to BCM GUIDED ROUTINE .
    No  Concern was resolved using ENGINE CONTROLS - PINPOINT TESTS (HYBRID) .
