- Manual shift linkage
- Inspect the gearshift lever and gearshift cables for damage or wear. Make sure the gearshift cables are properly installed and adjusted. Adjust or install new components as necessary. REFER to: Gearshift Lever REFER to: Gearshift Cables REFER to: Gearshift Cable Adjustment
- Internal transmission components
- Inspect the shift shaft assembly and the suspect shift rail and shift fork for damage or wear. Check the suspect synchronizer system and gear clutch teeth for restricted travel. Inspect the gear shift interlock for damage, wear, or binding. Repair or install new components as necessary.
