Gearshift Cable Adjustment

Adjustment

NOTE: The floor console is not shown in illustration, but does not need to be removed.

Place the transmission in NEUTRAL.

Remove the gearshift lever boot. Refer to: Gearshift Lever Boot .
Using help of an assistant.
1. Position the shifter in the Reverse/Crawl shift gate.
2. Place a 0.7mm shim in between the shift and the reverse stop and keep shifter in this position.

1. Unlock the shift cable adjusting block lock.
2. Lock the shift cable adjusting block lock.

1. Remove the shim
2. Shift the shifter into 3rd and 4th gear.

1. Unlock the shift cable adjusting block lock.
2. Lock the shift cable adjusting block lock.

NOTE: If there is any concern repeat the adjust procedure.
1. NOTE: Move the select lever side to side and into each gear to verify free motion.
  
  Check the gearshift adjustment by shifting into all gears.
2. Check the Crawl to 1st gear shift motion.
