Wastegate Control Valve Solenoid: Removal

1. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. It is not necessary to remove the lower air cleaner outlet hose elbow from the turbocharger. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .
2. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner .
3. Disconnect the electrical connector, then detach the wiring harness retainers.

4. Disconnect the quick release coupling from the vacuum pump, then detach the hose retainers. Refer to Quick Release Coupling .

5. Detach the wiring harness from the wire harness retainers.

6. Disconnect the turbocharger control hose, then detach the hose retainers. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

7. Remove the wastegate control valve solenoid retaining nuts, then remove the wastegate control valve solenoid.
