Pinpoint Test E : DTC P07F5

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Refer to Shift Interlock for schematic and connector information.

    Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

The TRCM receives two voltage inputs from the BJB. The hot in start and run fuse 23 (15A) circuit powers the TRCM micro processor. The hot at all times fuse 83 (20A) circuit powers the motors in the TRCM that are used to move the selector lever cable and the transmission manual valve inside the main control valve body.

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
TRCM P07F5:00 Transmission Range Control Module System Voltage Low: No Sub Type Information The TRCM monitors the two voltage inputs for low or no power. When the voltage drops below a calibrated threshold, the TRCM sets the DTC.

    Possible Sources

    • Connectors damaged or pushed-out terminals, circuitry open, shorted to power or shorted to ground
    • BJB fuse 83 (20A)
    • BJB fuse 23 (15A)
    • TRCM

  2. E1 RETRIEVE AND RECORD ALL DTCS

    • Using the diagnostic scan tool, retrieve all DTCs.

    Is DTC P07F5 present?

    Yes  GO to  E2
No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The fault may have been caused by a previous low battery condition.
  3. E2 CHECK THE TRCM (TRANSMISSION RANGE CONTROL MODULE) POWER CIRCUITS FOR VOLTAGE

    • Ignition OFF.

    • Disconnect TRCM C1693.

    • Inspect the connector for damaged or pushed-out terminals.

    • Ignition ON.
