DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition ABS C2007:96 Right Motor: Component Internal Failure The ABS module tests the parking brake actuator motors by sending a voltage pulse through the circuits and the motors. This DTC sets when the test results are out of the expected range. ABS C2008:96 Left Motor: Component Internal Failure The ABS module tests the parking brake actuator motors by sending a voltage pulse through the circuits and the motors. This DTC sets when the test results are out of the expected range. Possible Sources

- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the ABS self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) other than C2007:96 or C2008:96 set?
Yes Diagnose the other ABS Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). Refer to the ABS DTC Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Chart . No GO to G2 - G2 CLEAR THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the ABS Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the ABS self-test.
Are Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) C2007:96 or C2008:96 set?
Yes Replace the suspect Parking Brake Actuator Motor. REFER to: Parking Brake Actuator Motor . No The system is operating correctly at this time.
