Reductant Tank: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE: During the removal or installation of components, cap, tape or otherwise appropriately protect all openings and tubes/fittings to prevent the ingress of dirt or other contamination. Remove caps, tape and other protective materials prior to installation.
  1. Install the reductant tank and then install and tighten the reductant tank retaining bolts.

    Torque: 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)

  2. Connect the reductant tank main harness connector and then attach the wire harness retainers.

  3. Attach the wire harness retainer to the reductant tank bottom shield and then connect the reductant level sensor electrical connector. Attach the lines and the wire harness to the retaining clips of the reductant tank.

    1. Connect the reductant pump electric connector.
    2. Connect the reductant pump pressure line quick release coupling to the reductant pump. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

  4. Attach the reductant pressure line retainers to the reductant tank straps.

  5. Connect the reductant tank vent hose quick release coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

  6. Install the transmission support crossmember. Refer to: Transmission Support Crossmember .
  7. NOTE: Always refill the reductant tank with NEW reductant fluid to avoid reductant system contamination.

    Fill the reductant tank with new reductant fluid.
