Hood Latch Release Cable: Removal

  1. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner - 1.0L. Refer to: Air Cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner - 2.0L.
  2. Remove the battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray .
  3. Remove the hood latch release handle. Refer to: Hood Latch Release Handle .
  4. Disconnect the primary hood latch release cable.

    1. Disconnect the primary hood latch release cable from the mounting bracket.
    2. Remove the primary hood latch release cable eyelet from the hood latch.

  5. Route the hood latch release cable and grommet into the engine compartment.

  6. Route the hood latch release cable and release cable routing clip.

  7. Release cable routing clip and remove the hood latch release cable.
