NOTE: If transmission disassembly or installation of a new transmission is necessary, install the manual shift lever.

Install the manual shift lever and the nut.

If the dowel pins were pulled out of the engine block during removal, install new dowel pins in the engine block.

If necessary, install a new RH halfshaft seal. Refer to: Halfshaft Seal RH .
Insert the RH halfshaft until the halfshaft retaining clip is fully seated.

Insert the RH lower ball joint into the wheel knuckle and install a new bolt and nut.

1. Install the air cleaner outlet pipe assembly, tighten the clamps and install the nuts. Connect the vacuum tube to the air outlet pipe. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

2. Connect the fuel evaporative tube quick release coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
3. Connect the PCV coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
4. Connect the MAP sensor electrical connector and remove the air cleaner outlet pipe assembly.

Install the battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray .
Install the cowl panel. Refer to: Cowl Panel Grille .
Adjust the selector lever cable. Refer to: Selector Lever Cable Adjustment - 6-Speed Automatic Transmission - 6F15 .
Fill the transmission with transmission fluid. Refer to: Transmission Fluid Drain and Refill .
After completing the repairs perform the Misfire Monitor Neutral Profile Correction procedure.
If a new solenoid body is installed, the solenoid body strategy must be updated. Refer to: Transmission Strategy Download .
