Cabin Heater Coolant Pump - 1.0L EcoBoost (92kW 125PS): Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
  2. With the vehicle in N, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  3. If equipped, remove the bolts and the underbody shield.

    1. Remove the starter motor solenoid positive battery cable retaining nut.

      Torque

      106 lb.in (12 Nm)

    2. Remove the starter motor solenoid control wire retaining nut.

      Torque

      53 lb.in (6 Nm)

    1. Release the clamps and disconnect the heater inlet and outlet hoses. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp(s)
    2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    3. Remove the bolt and the cabin heater coolant pump.

      Torque

      62 lb.in (7 Nm)
