Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes - 1.0L EcoBoost (92kW 125PS): Installation

Inspect the transmission fluid tube backing ring and seal for damage and install a new backing ring or seal if necessary.
1. Backing ring (7J324)
2. Seal (7D285)
  Material: Motorcraft® MERCON® ULV Automatic Transmission Fluid / XT-12-QULV (WSS-M2C949-A,) (MERCON® ULV)

Position the cooler bypass valve-to-transmission tube and the cooler bypass valve and install the bolt.
Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

Tighten the cooler bypass valve-to-transmission tube fitting and install the bolt.
1. Tighten the fitting.
  Torque: 16 lb.ft (22 Nm)
2. Install the bolt.
  Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

Inspect the transmission fluid tube backing ring and seal for damage and install a new backing ring or seal if necessary.

Install the transmission fluid warmer-to-cooler bypass valve tube, install the bolt and tighten the fitting.
- Install the bolt.
  Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
- Tighten the fitting.
  Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

Inspect the transmission fluid tube backing rings and seals for damage and install new backing rings or seals if necessary.

Install the transmission-to-transmission fluid warmer tube and the bolts.
Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

Install the battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray .
Install the transmission fluid cooler-to-auxiliary transmission fluid cooler hose and position the clamps.

Install the transmission fluid cooler-to-bypass valve tube assembly and position the clamps.

Connect the transmission fluid cooler-to-cooler bypass valve tubes to the cooler bypass valve.

Install the transmission fluid cooler tubes secondary latches.

Install the transmission fluid cooler tube assembly bracket bolt.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
