Pinpoint Test G : The LH (Left-Hand) Rear Power Fold Seat Is Inoperative

G1 CHECK THE SECOND ROW REAR SEAT MOTOR GROUND

Ignition OFF.

Disconnect LH Second Row Rear Seat Motor C3345.

Ignition ON.

Measure:

Positive Lead	Measurement / Action	Negative Lead
C3345-2	Courtesy of FORD MOTOR COMPANY	Ground

Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?

Yes

GO to G2

No	REPAIR the circuit.

G2 CHECK FOR VOLTAGE TO THE SECOND ROW REAR SEAT MOTOR

Ignition ON.

While pressing and holding the LH second row seat control switch, measure:

Is the voltage greater than 11 volts while the second row seat control switch is pressed?

Yes	INSTALL a new LH second row seat motor. REFER to: Power Fold Seat Motor .

GO to G3

G3 CHECK THE SECOND ROW REAR SEAT MOTOR CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN

Ignition OFF.

Disconnect Second Row Seat Control Switch C4512.

Measure:

Positive Lead	Measurement / Action	Negative Lead

Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?

Yes	INSTALL a new second row seat control switch. REFER to: Power Fold Seat Control Switch .

No	REPAIR the circuit.
