Selector Mechanism - 2.3L EcoBoost (257kW/350PS) - MI4: Installation

NOTE: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

Apply the sealant.

: Motorcraft® Gasket Maker / TA-16 (WSK-M2G348-A5)

1. NOTE: Make sure that no components catch.
  
  Set the manual shift lever to the neutral (N) position. Visual check.

1. Turn the component CCW through 90 degrees.
2. NOTE: Make sure that no components catch.
  
  Push the selector mechanism to full down position.

Install the bolts.
Torque

: 19 lb.ft (26 Nm)

Adjust the gearshift cable. Refer to: Gearshift Cable Adjustment - 6-Speed Manual Transmission - MMT6 .
Install the air cleaner assembly.
- Install the air cleaner assembly and connect the air cleaner inlet tube.
- Connect the electrical connector and detach the wiring harness retainer.
- Connect the air cleaner outlet pipe and tighten the clamp.
