Selector Mechanism: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

NOTE: The O-ring seal is to be reused unless damaged.

Inspect the O-ring seal for damage and install a new O-ring if necessary. Lubricate the O-ring seal in transmission fluid.

Material

: Motorcraft® Dual Clutch Transmission Fluid / XT-11-QDC (WSS-M2C200-D2)

NOTE: Make sure that no components catch.

Install the selector mechanism.

Install the selector mechanism bolts and connect the reverse light switch.
Torque

: 18 lb.ft (24 Nm)

Adjust the shift cables. Refer to: Gearshift Cable Adjustment - 6-Speed Manual Transmission - B6 .
Install the battery tray support bracket.
Torque

: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)

Install the battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray .
Install the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .
