Intake Manifold: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Disconnect the battery ground. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
- Remove the engine appearance cover.
- Disconnect the vacuum pump inlet tube coupling.

- Loosen the air cleaner outlet pipe clamps and remove the nuts. Disconnect the vacuum tube from air outlet pipe. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
- Disconnect the fuel evaporative tube quick release coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
- Disconnect the PCV coupling.
- Disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector and remove the air cleaner outlet pipe assembly.

- Disconnect the fuel evaporative tube quick release coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
- Loosen the clamps, remove the bolt and the CAC inlet pipe.
- Disconnect the throttle body electrical connector.

- Disconnect the fuel evaporative tube quick release couplings. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
- Disconnect the EVAP canister purge valve electrical connector. Detach the retainers and remove the fuel evaporative tube assembly.

- Disconnect the PCV tube coupling.
- Disconnect the MAP sensor and the fuel injector wiring harness electrical connector.
- Disconnect the vacuum tube.
- Disconnect the VCT solenoid electrical connectors.
- Detach the wire harness retainers and disconnect the electrical connectors.

NOTE: The throttle body and adapter may have been removed during engine front cover removal.
Loosen the clamp, remove the bolts, studs and the intake manifold.
